Mirror Lake Inn
Reviews
Really nice resort, very quaint and unique - old world in many ways. Was here during winter for a management offsite. Got caught in a snow-storm. But the hotels really warm and cosy. Great stay...
My daughter, three young children and I stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn during the last few days in August. We have been returning guests for the past several years. We stayed in the new "Lookout" rooms that were perfect for our family. I am always impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the rooms, especially the beds. My favorite time is going to the beach with the kids ( swimming, kayaking and having lunch from the Cottage). As my daughter got the kids settled, I would go to the Bistro to pick up dinner. Having a glass of wine at the bar was a nice end to the evening.
Great staff, helpful and friendly, clean spacious rooms, excellent location, wonderful lounges and terraces, fantastic breakfast. We didn't try the dinner but there is a small lakeside cafe across the street which was also 5 star.
If you want an experience to remember then you must stay at The Mirror Lake Inn. Just know this, it will make you come back again and again. You just won't find any place else that cares more about making sure their guests feel completely welcome and appreciated. Every staff member is cheerful and 100 percent on the ball to make sure you have everything you need. If there was one aspect that one dislikes about their stay at The Mirror Lake Inn, it is the day you have to leave. I highly recommend you book a suite, eat at The View, enjoy happy hour at the Lake Cottage or Taste Bistro, and relax in the Spa.
We stayed here last year. Posted an honest 3-star review of the establishment on Trip Advisor only to receive a condescending, arrogant and unapologetic response from the general manager. Any negative review gets an equally negative response along with details of "we know who you are". Instead of offering to make it right and try to make an offer for a future visit - they just slam the guest for being honest. The place has it's Adirondack charm, but that's pretty much where it ends. FU Carl Gronlund.
