Urban Nirvana Hair & Day Spa
Reviews
I usually try to have a facial every few months. In the past I tried several places in the area, but always disappointed in my experience. I received a gift card for Urban Nirvana several years ago and met Heidi Shipley. What a wonderful day that turned out to be in my life. She is a ultimate professional and provides such a relaxing, transforming experience. My last visit was a few days ago, and my skin has looked radiant. My husband even noticed! The atmosphere at the downtown location is quite relaxing, and the waiting room provides, wonderful tea, and snacks to relax while you wait. I highly recommend the services of Heidi and hope to continue seeing her for years to come.
I don't used to get my hair cut often and when I do it was at cheap place cause I didn't think it was a big deal. One day I decided to try a nicer salon and this place makes me want to go all the time! I have never had a bad experience and I've used a few different stylist (since I don't make appointments). The shampoo (aka brief head massage) before hand is awesome then the stylist are always friendly and very talented. The atmosphere is really relaxing too. After the second time I got my hair cut short for the first time in my life and absolutely loved the results. Its expensive but I'm now a regular and can't go anywhere else!
Very nice and relaxing atmosphere which is what you pay the high price for. Do not waste your money or your time!!! I received a gift certificate for a massage and upgraded to deep tissue. The receptionist asked did I want a specific therapist when I called to book. I told her the deepest therapist they have. She gave me Tim. Nice guy only no technique and no knowledge of deep tissue. I told him I wanted the massage very deep and that if it was to deep then I would say something. He was very swedish. I finally had to complain to him and tell him that I hoped he was just warming up because it was too light. I also told him I needed my neck stretched and worked deep. It was like a tickle. I said it was too light and he told me he worked it deeper when he turned me face down. What??? I could not wait to see what he was going to do to my neck with me face down. They charge $107 per hr.for deep tissue. I complained after the massage and was only charged $85 which I thought was fair. They charge $87 hr. for a basic massage which is over priced. That is a fair price for an hr. deep tissue with an experienced therapist who does not work for a chain.
Excellent haircuts from Megan.
