Rating this under my husbands google acct :) I have always experienced great customer service and love the scalp massage they give, but would also have to say I have had to go back twice due to my layers not being blended well enough. I think that your haircut really depends on the stylist you get. Not all of them are a 4/5 star stylist.

The owner of the salon Jody gave me the worst hair cut I have ever had! Not only did she give me a horrible cut but also has no idea what customer service is and has no business owning and operating a service based business. I have been a loyal Aveda customer for the past 15 years and a customer of Wisteria spa for the past 10 years and I wish I had never given this place a dime of my money. About 2 weeks ago I went in for a cut and color. First let me say my hair is very easy to cut as it is straight and undamaged as I do not use heat to style. I got six inches cut off my hair and she still couldn’t get the cut even. My hair ended up looking choppy, uneven and damaged. No exaggeration my hair literally looked like a one armed blind person cut it. Even my husband admitted the cut looked bad. When I complained about the cut the owner/Jody seemed more concerned about rushing me out the door than retaining me as a satisfied customer. Let me say that I have spent the last 15 years of my life working in the service industry and I am usually the last person to complain. When a loyal customer has a legitimate complaint that they express in a calm and rational manner I would expect that the business would go above and beyond to ensure that customer’s satisfaction and continued patronage. And at these inflated prices one would certainly expect this level of service. I have no problem paying for quality, talent, and superior customer service but this is not what you will receive at Wisteria salon. There so called senior stylist is no indication of talent or skill. I can’t stress this enough do not waste your money! If I had it to do over again I would have just went to super cuts because at least then I wouldn’t have spent $75.00 to get a jacked up haircut. I will never return to this salon! If you are looking for a true Aveda experience I would suggest going to Ivy salon. I gave them one star only because the rating system does not allow for you to give a 0 or -10 star rating.

I went to this spa with a couple girlfriends for a 'spa day' and we all got the fire package. We chose Wisteria because it had decent prices on the packages for the services received (about mid-range to what is available locally). My facial was absolutely fantastic. I had never gotten one before and Solvei was great, giving me recommendations on how to treat my face without too much hassle in the mornings and even massaging my hands/feet while waiting for my mask and such to dry. I would absolutely go back for another one from her. My friends all got a different girl who they said wasn't as nice but did a decent job. Unfortunately the rest of my day didn't go quite as well. The masseuse was pretty good, but not great and even though I asked for a specific area to be worked on she didn't save enough time at the end to do it properly. Also just wasn't my style of massage, a little to quick in the movements. The girl who did my mani/pedi was absolutely terrible. She didn't talk, I never even got her name and she didn't know mine, showed up late, I was bleeding from a few cuticles when I left and she forgot a few steps in the process (i only know after talking to my girlfriends afterwords). My nails started pealing (not chipping) that afternoon too. My friends had different people for their mani/pedis and liked them much more so I think this was just the one girl I had. The 'spa lunch' was not what we expected. My girlfriends and I had expected to sit down together for the lunch since we booked as a group. We ended up all getting served at different times in different places. Two of us had our lunch during our pedicures which made it impossible to relax and keep from spilling food on ourselves. Overall it was an decent day, but there was the feeling of being 'pushed through a line' where the people there were mainly intent on getting us out the door and did not care about the whole experience as I expect with paying for a package. Not everyone was aware we were in a group, or even getting multiple services. Some were very good, and some were awful. I guess you just have to do trial and error to learn who is good to go to.

I have been to Wisteria's Augusta road location several times and I have never been disappointed. I love that it is an Aveda salon because I can buy all my favorite products while I'm there. The girls at the front desk are helpful and very sweet. I have seen two stylists and I have been pleased with both of them. They are friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and it's easy to tell that they love what they do. I highly recommend Wisteria to anyone who is looking for a fun, yet relaxing salon environment with highly trained professionals.
