I recently had issues regarding the cancellation of my membership (I moved out of state). After my complaint reached the regional office, my issue was resolved promptly and fully. I am confident that under this new management, the Oak Forest location will improve significantly.
Massages are hit and miss. When you find someone you really like, it's difficult to schedule future appointments without doing so weeks in advance, which is pointless considering you might need the massage right away to loosen up a muscle or relieve pain. Even worse, the person stops working there because the company has such high turnover. To cancel your membership, you have to submit it in writing on their special little form. You cannot do it by phone. It's ridiculous to treat customers this way, like children. One can cancel their cable, internet, electricity, natural gas online or with a simple phone call. What makes Massage Envy think they're so special?
Horrible manager complete lacks customers service skills. I needed assistance on the remaining sessions that I had and she didn't even allow me to finish my sentences before she cut me off. Do not recommend.
As far as the massage therapists DANTE is amazing. The staff however, is not so wonderful. When I call to schedule they either don't pay attention or don't care. I will call to set appointments with Dante and they say sure, but when I get there I get someone else or if I ask for hot stones they give me just a regular session. My debit card was stolen so I asked to put a hold on my account until things get straight and they said no problem, well they cancelled my account and all the massages I'd paid for. They did restore them but after I had to "discuss" with the manager. If you call and leave a message don't expect to hear back, because they either don't listen or don't care. The second to last time I was in (at least 2 months between visits) there was a light out and some sort of substance below their water wall...it was still out and the substance was still there on my last visit and the employees were just standing around. I called today because I had not had a return call from the message I left last night @ 8:08 pm and I needed to know if I could come in or do errands and of course they were full so I asked for a manager to call me...let's see if that happens...to be continued!
Recently received a 1 1/2 hour session from this wonderful location. Appointments were very accommodating and therapists, staff were very friendly and helpful. I am now a member and come back 2-3 times a month. Love it!!
