Rice Village Nail and Spa

Amazing! Best nail salon I've been to in Houston! They massage your neck, arms, and legs... Incredible!
I was passing through after having been in the Medical Center area. I very much needed a manicure and pedicure. I remember thinking to myself I would stop at the first nail shop I spotted on my way home (thinking it might be the only time I might walk in for service). Yes, I walked in, no appointment necessary. I requested a gel pedicure (Mae did a really nice job) (but when my service began, I asked if I could also have a gel manicure). The only thing I really do not care for, simply because doing this does not allow one to relax completely, is receiving a manicure during my pedicure. I am certain the estheticians would have accommodated me, if I had asked to keep the services separate. The esthetician (Bella) very gently shaped my fingernails just right. She even checked with me to make sure they were as I like them. (One should not ever have to reshape nails immediately after receiving a professional manicure.) The cost for my gel manicure and gel pedicure was significantly less than where I normally go. Also, the services I pay extra for (where I normally go) were included in the very reasonable price at Rice Village Nails and Spa. I like the estheticians did their work meticulously and focused on performing a very good quality gel manicure and gel pedicure. The massage was not lengthy; just right. (where I normally go, I have to cut off my massage because it tends to be too lengthy) They were quiet, too, which helped me because I was so tired I didn't care to talk. (I felt others receiving service would not have appreciated my talking anyway.) The estheticians were all very courteous. The place was quiet and clean. I will return when I find myself in the area and need a regular or gel manicure and/or a regular or gel pedicure. Thank you, Rice Village Nails and Spa.
I loved my mani/pedi at this salon!!! I found them by searching reviews on google and this one seemed to be positive. My tech was Bella and she was incredibly sweet and hard working. The staff is so friendly. Prices are reasonable in my option. I will definitely go back there from now on!!!!
I decided to get a manicure as a treat for myself on my birthday. My manicurist up sold me to get their deluxe manicure which was $20 compared to their regular at $14. The deluxe includes a scrub, neck and arm massage, paraffin wax, and an arm hot towel wrap in addition to the polish. I was going to get a mani-pedi but the regular was $25 and they were not running a special for a combo mani-pedi. Not impressed at all. She left my nails uneven initially until I pointed out the odd bumps. My cuticles have never been great, but she did not properly clip them off and they look terrible. The polish has bumps in it, not caused by me, but by how she painted my nails. One place was so uneven in coverage and absent in coverage that right before I left, I painted on more myself. It was that bad. Oh, and that hot towel on my arms? It was so hot that I had red marks on my arms and hands a full hour after the towel was taken off. I will not go here again.
My wife, Emily went to this salon for her first time in 2006;yet now she stills go there to get her manipedi done.
