The service at Zen Nails and Spa is absolutely terrible. Take your business elsewhere. As soon as we walked in we felt very rushed. When we sat down at the pedicure chairs and the water was absolutely scalding. The nail tech didn't even test how hot the water was before asking us to place our feet in and we were scalded by hot water. They nickel and dime for every little add on and refuse to start until you agree to it (They'll literally ask you 2-3 times). I went two days ago and the nail polish is already chipping because they use low quality nail polish. My nails typically don't start looking this bad until 2-3 weeks later. They didn't even completely remove my old polish when applying new polish on my feet. I got french tips and they did the french tip way too thin and the polish is crooked and uneven on my feet and the tops of my nails are rough because they didn't even properly apply a top coat. The techs are very nosy asking too many personal questions when you'd like to simply relax. They are way too rough on your feet. I have never been to a nail salon where they use a non industry approved hardware. I saw them use a sander that you would use to sand wood furniture on my Mother's feet. Again, everything feels very rushed and you'll have two techs working on you at the same time if you decide to get a pedicure and a manicure together. Not for your convenience, but for their benefit to get you out faster. If you want a high quality pedicure or manicure GO ELSEWHERE! For the prices I paid at Zen Spa & nail care I expected better. Won't be returning.
Pedicure was wonderful but the lady who did my manicure used a nail file to get my previous polish off. She scraped and squeezed my nails really hard and even scraped the skin off on several of my nails. It was the most painful manicure I have ever gotten. When I pointed out how she scraped my skin off, which looked just like fresh scraped skin, she proceeded to argue with me telling me how it was already there.I'm not a very persistent person and as she continued to argue with me I kept saying it's okay, it's fine. She brought it up several times throughout the manicure too. She asked me to pay before she started the polish and the rest of the manicure process, so I felt pressured to tip well so she wouldn't completely mess up everything on purpose. In the end my nails looked nice (except the skin missing) and the lady doing my pedicure was wonderful. I won't be returning though.
Always has a wonderful attitude and takes care of their customers well. I enjoy going there to relax.
