This place is schizophrenic at best. The hotel staff is competent, but overworked. Check-in was a chore, with only two employees servicing guests for at least 20 minutes. The room was sparsely furnished and well kept. Schneitter's was more of the same. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation for the seafood buffet. Once in, we were informed by the M.anager O.n D.uty that they had no record of our reservation. She apologized, and said there was no chance we would eat. My wife went to the front desk, and confirmed through them we had reservations. I overheard the front desk's call saying "Screw it. You have to seat them." Once we sat down, we had an inexpensive bottle of wine opened and were charged a standard corkage fee. Dinner was great, with the highlights being the raw food and cooked oysters and the low point being any part of the fish course. Honestly, orange roughy does not need a sauce so orangey-sweet it makes my teeth spontaneously develop cavities. The dessert bar was excellent. Apparently, there is one chef at the establishment who knows what they're doing. After we checked out with no issue, we left the resort for home, but were not done with Zermatt. We discovered someone had charged a nice bottle of Pinot Noir to our room. We called, and were given voice mail after voice mail. When we finally we able to reach someone, he was helpful, and would "research" the charge. We received a phone call from the manager of Schneitter's and were told dismissively that we'd have a chargeback within 3 days. Nothing more. As a resident of Utah County and a former employee of Sundance, I recommend those who have read this far to save the gas and stay at the Sundance resort. We would never have had these issues.

Our family has been here several times and each time the experience is awesome! We have made it a tradition to return annually. Great service, great food, reasonably priced, and they are very helpful! It is truly a treasure, so much to do as a family.
