aside from burning my eyebrow with the wax (my skin i am guessing is sensitive there) I had a great spa treatment there! The staff is lovely and helpful and the service prices are very reasonable. I enjoyed the tranquility of the spa after a long work day as well..

I love this place. This is my twelfth year going to Sugar House for my massages. I read the reviews and apparently the salon is of a different quality, but I never go there. I used to have one massage therapist who I always requested...she has since left. I have noticed that they no longer have as wide a selection of aromatherapy oils and I feel that the atmosphere has declined slightly in the past five years. But still I love this place. I've tried others and none seem to be as good as Sugar House. I often recommend them to friends and will continue to do so. I am disappointed at the recent price hike and I do believe that their prices are a little high for the service that is starting to lag. I never have a massage therapist who talks too much, but I do like those who inquire if you need more or less pressure and my latest one did not.

I've been here a handful of times but it has gone down hill. I had a simple cut and all over color appointment that was supposed to start at 1:45 pm but I didn't start my appointment until 2:20 pm. During all that time waiting no one came to cut on me, no one came to tell me my stylist was running late either. I spent most of the time assuming they had forgotten about me. When my stylist finally came, she only asked me a few questions about what color I wanted and left for about 20 minutes. When she came back she had already put together a bottle of dye and immediately started applying it. Not telling me what color is was or showing me any sort of examples. When she was done dying my hair she sat me under a dryer to speed up the process but I sat there for almost an hour and not once did she come to check on the color process on my hair. A completely different person came to get me to shampoo my hair. She didn't check the temperature of the water before rinsing my hair and almost burned my scalp. When I got back to my stylist she just started cutting my hair without asking how much I wanted off or what style I wanted. She ended up taking almost 3 inches off the front when all I wanted was a trim. And after all this I was still charged $170! Worst hair appointment I have ever had and definitely will not be going back.

Wow. In town for a funeral and needed to get nails down. Walk in with my extremely well behaved 5 yr old little girl and they won't make an exception in their policy for no children.

It's all about the specific people who perform the services. Rose is truly one of the very best massage therapists I've ever had, and I've had massages all over the world. If you like swedish massages, she'll do an excellent job, but her real specialty is deep tissue, my favorite. I see Rose every 4 - 6 weeks for an 80 minute deep tissue massage and she never ceases to amaze me. For facialists, Angel is heavenly. She not only does an incredible job in general, but she also provides a wonderful shoulder and arm massage as part of the service. Not everyone who works at Sugar House is top-notch, but these two are the best of the best on the planet!
