FOLLOW-UP~ I'm happy to report, that the issues' that perplexed me previously have been resolved. I'm very pleased with the few times I've returned here. I still feel a little rushed, but my toes ALWAYS look good and the ladies really are good at what they do!!!
I read some of the reviews of this salon online so I decided to try it out. Not only is the salon beautifully designed, the atmosphere is Zen enough to put me to sleep (I came on a Tuesday)! The technicians are a lot more professional than the ones I’ve been to.
I just tried Luxury Nails and Spa for the first time. They did a great job on my pedicure, the services, nail polish and experience was excellent! They soak your feet in a metal basic with soothing warm water and massage with hot rocks. They were very attentive, asking me if I wanted anything to drink, gave me something to read and my high back/reclining massage chair was comfortable. They used clean tools, scrubbed my feet well and pampered my feet with a warm oil sea salt scrub followed by more warm oil. They provided a nice massage and then wrapped my feet with a super warm and toasty wet towel that makes you just want to fall asleep! The polish they offer is OPI which is a higher end nail polish that often doesn't chip and stays on long. I'll definitely be back!
Any customer who goes into that Nail shop thinking the wife of the owner is a nice person who can give you great customer service. Well that is only partially true. The woman is pure scum. Almost all her employees due not speak a lick of English and almost all of them are Vietnamese. She has over the years charged her employees to use the restroom, charged them for broken water pipes, and constantly steals their tips. Why do I know all of this you may ask, simply because my neighbor works at this nail shop. She is terrified of standing up to her boss because she doesnt understand American Laws she thinks that she can somehow be sued. As for me I have already begun action to bring down this evil person, who is taking advantage of people that are just trying to live the American dream. If you have to go there to get your nails done make sure you hand the money over directly to the lady that did your nails, also make sure that the lady that did your nails rings you up at the cash register.
If you're a regular customer, have you ever asked yourself why this salon has such a high turnover percentage? The reason for this is because these two business owners are greedy, disrespectful towards their contractors, they illegally provide customers with promotional deals before coming to an agreement with their contractors first, and one of the owners perform services that she is not licensed for. Furthermore, the reason why this contractor left was because I am too smart to let stupid people screw me over. And for your information I did not get fired I quit because I refused to get cheated for work that I performed. Let me ask you this question. If you were in this situation what would you do? You are an independent contractor and you have been doing nails for a long time. You know your trade and all the logistics that go with the trade, would you willingly let someone cheat you out of payment that you worked hard for? As a nail tech, under verbal contract you earn 60% of everything you make and the owners get a 40% cut. A regular pedicure costs $25 dollars, with a promotional deal the customer gets a free pedicure from the salon. Yes it brings customers back, but does that mean that customer will come back to you? No! You are new to the salon and you have to perform a pedicure that eventually you would only be paid $9 for, while the owners get $7 for doing no work at all. Would you do it? Keep in mind that there was never an agreement between you and the owner that you would be responsible for this loss. If you can't do the math then I will break this down for you. Out of the $25 dollars you can only claim $15. After that the owners take a 40% cut from the $15 that means you only make $9 on that pedicure. What if you had to do 5 of these free services a day, how would you feel? Who would want to work on someone's toes for less than ten bucks? Thats not called sharing, its stealing!!! When you are reaping benefits off other peoples work, you are stealing!! So if you dont have your information straight just keep your opinion to yourself. By the way, if these people are so great then why do they keep having to change people who work for them? Guess what the answer is, they suck as owners!!! They have had over 40 people work for them in the course of two years, what does that say? Think about it seriously. Most people can not stand them after a month or so, then they leave. They are so pathetic that they have to rate themselves for a better rating on this thing. Lastly, if we're considered bad apples for leaving what do you consider people who cheat others to benefit themselves?
