Bushra is the best! I've been seeing her for my eyebrows every month for way over a year now!
I had never been here before and this was only my 3rd time ever getting a brazillion done but I saw a groupon so I decided to try it. I have to say even though I was inexperienced at brazillions this one was drastically different. I could tell the woman was new but not until after when I paid. The biggest thing for me was that she wore gloves. None of the other ones had. She used 3 different types of wax; a hot one for the front and initial waxing, a warmed wax for the sides and back and for the labia she had a purple wax that apparently wasn't wax at all. The purple goop didn't need waxing paper; once she put it on and cooled it, it acted as it's own wax paper. Never seen that before. And for the first time I had someone actually wax my butt! Not that I needed it or wanted it but by the time she started doing it it was too late to say no. The only negative was that it definitely took 40 mins!! So give yourself an hour. I am the smoothest I have ever been. I just wish it would stay this way forever!
This salon has really bad customer service. A lot of my colleges were telling me before hand about the customer service but i still decided to go because of a gift certificate i had. Until one day i experienced their poor customer service. All of the front desk representative were too busy on the phone to check me in so about 10 minutes went by before one finally did, then i was told I would be skipped and have to wait until the technician services another customer because i was"late." When clearly i was not late, i had been sitting their waiting for the reps to check me in. I just walked out because i had already been waiting long enough and thought it was very unfair that they decided i should be skipped due to their customer service reps lack of check customers in in a timely fashion. YOU CANNOT PUT A PRICE ON GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. i will not be returning to this salon.
Had a great experience at Style by Zahra. My eyebrows look great! I have had a few bad experiences with threading, but was very happy with the threading and waxing services I received here. I am looking forward to going back for a facial soon!
Yesterday, I visited Style by Zahra for eyebrow threading w/ my twin 15 month old daughters. During the course of my service, one of my daughters became fussy. Zahra approached & asked whether I wanted to take a moment to calm my daughter. Zahra then stated that I actually needed to attempt to calm her because she was concerned about the “experience for the other guests” (I only saw one other client in the salon who was in her own world signaling signs of pain from her threading session), and that “the salon actually has a no children policy.” Here’s where the problem started. Zahra and I then began a heated exchange, in front of other customers, for the following reasons: 1. There was no posting of a policy in this establishment that prohibited the presence of children. Had it been posted, and posted conspicuously, then I would have never come in for service. When I questioned her about the policy, after three attempts for an answer, she stated that the policy was on their website and on their voicemail message. As a walk-in client, how am I supposed to be apprised of this policy? 2. Zahra’s staff was obviously not aware of this policy because if they were, they should have enforced it or informed me of the policy when they saw me walk in with my double stroller. Further, they should have informed me when they spoke with and played with my children. 3. Zahra chose to engage in an unprofessional exchange with me in front of her staff and the other client. 4. Zahra obviously chooses when and when not to apply this so-called policy, as evidenced by the presence of another set of twins in the salon earlier that day. I stop short of saying that her application has discriminatory intent, but it can be inferred. I used to visit this establishment with enthusiasm and recommend it to all. Needless to say, I will never return due to the lack of professionalism and due to Zahra herself. If Zahra does indeed have a policy, then it needs to be applied consistently and to all customers. Further, I am well aware that businesses have the right to refuse service. But just as they have a right to refuse service, I have the right as a customer whether to patronize a particular business. When I am not adequately informed of all policies that would affect my patronage, it in a sense takes away my informed choice to patronize the business. It is my hope that no other customers, especially hard working mothers, do now experience the same disparate treatment that I received.
