Face Works Day Spa
Reviews
I am a very regular client at Face Works. This is my go to place for a pedicure, manicure, facial and massage. It is quiet and peaceful.I appreciate that they only have 2 chairs for pedicures which cuts down on all the chitter chatter I have come across at other salons. Casey is awesome for a pedi and mani. I have been going to Phyllis Thomas for over a year and typically get a 90 minute massage every couple of weeks. Since a spinal fusion, I tend to get really tight in the lower back and gluts and she keeps me pain free and feeling good. Melissa is the best when it comes to facials and microdermabrasion.
I visited this spa because I got a gift certificate from out of town relatives (they just googled a spa in the Richmond area and this one offered gift certificates online and is in our neighborhood). Well, I booked a facial and had a pleasant experience. I've had other facials before at other salons and I'd say this one pretty much compares to others. So, I decided to book an appointment for a massage next and went in for a massage, which was below average. It seemed like the masseuse would put too much pressure on some spots and it would hurt or would put too little pressure on other spots...and I'm not going to keep on telling her all throughout the massage that this is too light or too deep. I've had massages at other salons and I wasn't crazy about this one. They do have good deals if you sign up for their email list or also if you buy a $100 gift card at the time of service, you get percentage off (can't remember if it's 10 or 15). Hope this helps someone...
As soon as you walk thru the door...you feel at peace! This is the most relaxing spa I have ever been in. The employees are very personable and outgoing! I live in the tri-cities and drove 40 minutes ... IT WAS WELL WORTH IT! The facial I received was top notch and the massage... She performed it EXACTLY like I asked! I CANNOT wait to go back!
