Amazing customer service! I was a walk-in and although booked they made time for me to get a much needed cut while a client waited for her color to set. Mind you, if unavailable they were offering to make an appointment at the nearest of there many convenient locations in RVA. Teresa Nguyen is so very talented and sweet. I have just received the best cut of my life and an amazing last minute and much needed experience from the entire staff! Expect a complimentary drink, wonderful Aveda aromas, hand massage during shampoo, friendly staff and expert services. Thank you all... A customer for life! JGK

We were searching for a salon that wouldn't screw up my sons hair (like so many others have). Since he is bi-racial with the curly smooth hair, it's a bit more difficult to cut than other hair.........just my opinion. We made an appt. at Salon Del Sol and Bria was my sons stylist. She told us she had just moved to VA from FL..........and boy are we glad! My sons hair was out of control, but she showed him a few pics on her tablet and he chose the one he wanted. He has gotten so many compliments on his new hairstyle, and it is so much easier to manage. After years of searching, we found the right stylist, just hope Bria sticks around for a while.

I have been going to this salon del sol location since it opened, and have seen a couple people within the company and ultimately ended up with Brittany. She is GREAT! I loved my hair before, and love my hair even more now, she has a great personality, is extremely professional, and has creative ideas if that's what you're looking for! She is able to feel out what you're asking for (as I've experienced the opposite at other salons in Richmond). I read below, and to be quite honest that is the opposite of everything she portrays(and tattoos are not a reflection of your talent OR skill level), so that being said I continue to book with her before I leave the salon and will continue to do it! Love salon del sol, i have been going there for over a year now to see brittany, and she has been great. she has really helped me transform my hair into something i love. i've always had a hard time getting a stylist to just LISTEN to what i want, and she has been very good about giving me what I want. i disagree with samantha below, who appears to be judging people based on tattoos and outer appearance instead of ability which is unfortunate. it is also unfortunate if a person ACTUALLY has a bad experience with a stylist and bashes them anonymously on a blog, slandering an entire business instead of simply going back to get it fixed. i'm also fairly confident no stylist at salon del sol ever uses their cell phone on the job, i have never seen any stylist there do that. anyway, i would recommend salon del sol to anyone looking for a great relationship with a stylist who wants to listen to you! everyone there is awesome!

Being a guy and finding a quality place (something a few steps above Mastercuts and the like) isn't always easy to do. I've been going to this salon for almost 2 years now and have never felt more comfortable getting my hair cut and styled. All I have to do is walk in and tell the stylist to do her thing and I walk out looking great every time. I stop in and see Brittany every 4 weeks and she never fails to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful and the times I've had to reschedule my appointments, they've been nothing but professional and accommodating. I'd certainly recommend this salon to ANYONE.
