Hilton Munich Park
Reviews
We stayed two nights here mid-May on separate occasions. Primary reason we chose this Hilton was due to their special BMW Welt rate they offered us (we were picking up a car via the European Delivery program). Rooms were well appointed, clean, and spacious. The first night, our room was on ninth floor overlooking the English Garden (gorgeous view), while the second stay had us on the fourth floor. The front desk personnel were fluent in English, and were extremely friendly and helpful. Their parking garage (below the hotel itself) was ample and the parking spaces were plenty wide (unlike other European garages we've been to). Thankful since we were driving a 3-series wagon. Breakfast was fantastic and generous (American style with eggs, bacon, omelets, etc.) We also ate dinner one night at their restaurant. Service was excellent, and the meal was great. Our walk to downtown Munich was quite easy and only took about 30 minutes. Although the hotel isn't close to a train station, the #54 bus picks up and drops off right at the front door. Only gripe I can think of was the fourth floor smelled of cigarette smoke (it is a non-smoking floor), which I suspect was the result of their staff smoking (I saw one housekeeper lighting one up in the stairwell). I'd certainly stay here again.
Very clean, welcoming staff, but extras quite expensive. >5€ for a double espresso and 7€ for a basic toothbrush at the kiosk is a bit to much.
Personally I was very disappointed with this hotel - maybe it's because I'm spoiled with the quality of service I've come to expect as an Expat living in Asia as the hotels there go above and beyond.
The hotel is very nice and the rooms are big, clea, nice views, and very modern. The only negative point is the public transportation is a but difficult to get to the hotel since you need to take the bus or the tram only, no train station is close by.
Luxurious hotel but missing internet in the rooms unfortunately, other than that perfect.
