My husband talked me into coloring my hair black. Since I am mostly grey now, grow out left me looking like a skunk and having to color my hair every couple of weeks. I came in and talked to the owner, Pat who set me up with Lynn-Rae and we discussed doing a color correction, which is a very involved process. It took about four hours. She asked me what color I wanted and I asked her to pick because I am not good at that sort of thing. She showed me some samples to figure out what I liked and what I didn't and blended a color that looked great and wore really well. My boss noticed and told me that it looked quite good. It's not cheap, but I am happy to pay for good work and ensure those who work there can make a living wage.
Being an Esthetician and working with some of the best stylists in San Diego and most recently having a dear friend who is not only a stylist but a trainer for Robert Cromeans, it was difficult to find someone local (Sierra Vista, AZ) to now do my hair. After trying several locations both in Tucson and here in Sierra Vista, I was very pleased to find Rain here at Today's Look Salon & Day Spa. Although I only get it cut once every 3-3 1/2 months, the cut remains very clean for the entire time. I've been very pleased with her work and she's a pleasure to spend time with.
DO NOT LIDTEN TO THOSE AWFUL REVIEWS! Whoever those previous reviewers were are insane! The girls @ Today's Look have always bent over backwards for me and all my friends I've brought to their salon( which has always been very clean and sanitized when I've gone). I know they recently fired a girl who's heart was not in the job. Liz gives the best body waxing in town @ the best price, and all the girls do amazing jobs with color and styling (even though I think Jen is AMAZING, any girl there does great). If you want personal service from people who care about you go to Today's Look.
The first time I lived here some ten years ago, I had tried every place in town and didn't care much for the way any of them cut my hair, until I came to Today's Look. I was a regular customer for the 3 or so years I lived here. I moved away for awhile and came back; I again tried at least four places in town before I got reaquainted with this salon again. Their services have expanded tremendously, and they are still the best place to get a cutting edge hair style. I take my daughters there now, and they never fail to figure out what my girls want, even when my girls aren't sure. I've been going back there now for over a year and I love them.
I went to Mastercuts with a photo of what I wanted, and paid entirely too much money for the stylist to chop off my hair and give me something different. The next day I went to a very reputable salon in town and asked the stylist to fix the look. I worked with Liz, who, although is a nice girl, did not cut my hair how I wanted. Again, I brought the photo with me. She ended up cutting off the rest of my hair, ruining my bangs, making them short instead of how the photo has them, and didn't make it choppy like I asked. More money wasted. Normally, this is an allegedly reputable salon. I've been there before and had great color and a hip, choppy cut and style. This time, I am thoroughly disappointed. I mean, I had a photo with me and she didn't even look at it as she cut away. Apparently, no one in this town is qualified to do a hip and edgy look. Not even "Today's Look."
