I absolutely love Venue Hair Studio! There aren't many places in Sierra Vista where you can get a stylish and modern haircut at a reasonable price. I have been seeing Elle for years and she always does a wonderful job on my two tone color. I have always received so many compliments on how great my hair looks after my appointments with her. She will also be doing my hair for my wedding which is coming up in two weeks and I am so excited to be working with someone so talented, professional and trustworthy!
First, let me say that this is a booth rental place and I can only speak for my experience. I saw Michelle, who is a very nice woman, but I really disliked not only my hair but the whole experience. I arrived for my appointment and besides my friend and the stylist were the only people in the salon (at noon). I was brought to the back and my hair request was discussed. I explained that I wanted my highlights touched up and a trim. I expressed to her I would like to keep it cost friendly and she agreed. She asked if I would like to tone down my brassiness and I agreed that that would be fine, thinking that I would get a toner during the shampoo process. So she proceeds to apply color, and I was a bit confused but I just thought, "okay, she going to apply like a semi to help with any brassiness and she is just coating it well." WRONG. She also asked if I would like my highlights to have less of a line when they grow out and suggested that I "blend them". She then proceeded to put this very dark color to my roots and started my highlight about a half inch below. It really just made me look like I needed to get my hair done. It takes 2 and half hours for this color/partial foil. I get the the bowl to be rinsed, and was shocked that she did not tone my highlights, which are now various colors from yellow to orange and not at all natural looking like I asked. She assures me that we can tone them if they aren't what I want when they are dry. We go back to the chair to get the cut, and this is the only reason I gave her 2 stars instead on one. The cut is not terrible, not great either. So we get through the cut and she starts to dry me. I told her I think we need to tone my highlights, and she tells me it would be better if I just came back, and then she wouldn't charge me full price for a toner (What?! that is part of highlights!!). She loads up on products and sets the hair dryer to a very low setting (I have a lot of hair) and proceeded to dry me for 45 minutes. She eventually gave up drying me and sent me out of the salon with wet, sticky, dry hair. I immediately came home to wash it myself and dried it in 20 minutes. I paid $125 dollars for this (only like 10 foils and a cut) and will need to get it fixed as soon as possible because my top layer is orange/yellow/brown and the bottom layer and my roots are dark brown/ black. I am very disappointed in the price of service and the actual quality of the color/cut. I really hate writing bad reviews, but when I left I was clearly not satisfied and she just told me I should buy purple shampoo and see if that helps or that I could come back and spend more money to fix what she did.
Elle has been my hair dresser for over a year now. She has transformed my cut and color into a fabulous look! I receive so many complements on my hair these days! Thank you, Elle & Christina! XOXO
Love venue hair studio. Michelle and her assistant Christina are the best and always do a great job on my hair. Highly recommend it.
First let me start off by saying I went there to have a color correction (not an easy task considering I had bright orange-reddish hair that looked every kind of awful). I saw Elle. She is AMAZING! I showed her a picture of what I was trying to achieve, and she took about 15-20 minutes consulting with me, checking my hair's condition, the products that would work the best, she even consulted another stylist to ask her opinion. I love that she took the time in the beginning to make sure of what I wanted. She asked numerous questions to be sure. I can't stand when a stylist just looks at the picture you brought in and goes right to work. She is by far the best consultation I've ever had. She made me feel comfortable through the entire process by explaining everything that she was doing to my hair and why. My hair turned out wonderful! I absolutely love it. She took it from a hideous orange/red to a beautiful light/medium caramel brown with blonde highlights. It is not exactly like the picture, but my picture was simply a guideline for a tough color correction, and I even like my hair better than the picture. Elle is extremely knowledgable about hair and I can't say enough about her. I forgot to mention that while I was getting my hair done, the other stylist (her mom) came to me to see how I was doing, and she let me know that I wasn't allowed to leave until I loved my hair! (in a joking manner of course) but I felt confident that they intended on getting my hair right the first time, something you don't always see. I could go on and on, but this hair salong is THE BEST in Sierra Vista. You absolutely won't be disappointed if you see either Elle or Susan. They are both wonderful!
