The Estes Park Resort

The staff here is in constant turnover. We have been planning a wedding reception and rehearsal dinner for about 8 months and have dealt with 3 GM's, 3 Chiefs, and 4 Event Managers. Now I cannot even get them to return a call so we are forced to find another venue. If you were planning on using this place for a wedding do yourself a favor and don't. There is enough to worry about without having to beg disinterested staff to do business with them. Go somewhere with a competent staff. This folks just add stress.
Check-in was at very late at 4, they weren't even ready for us and we had to wait in the lobby for my birthday. The room had a ripped blanket, the restaurant charged $31 for Halibut that was soaked in soy, so salty it was inedible. The coffee was weak and cheap and they charged us almost $300 for room, and it was worse than a Comfort Inn, don't go here!
DON'T GET MARRIED HERE! The wedding coordinators are horrible and the GM is even worse! They are over priced for the value they provide, you can easily find much better places in Estes!
Room was comfortable and decor was pleasant. Balcony was shared with other rooms (not that this was a problem). View was amazing, make sure you get a lake side room. Sauna was small but enjoyable. Hot tub wasn't very hot and was low on water. They have a game room with several arcade machines, pool table and an air hockey table.
I recently stayed here and did not have a great experience. I went to brush my teeth and all of a sudden I have a very sharp pain in my foot and realized that I had stepped on glass. I checked the floor and found that there were several other fairly large pieces of glass there. After my foot finally stopped bleeding, I went to grab one of the "clean" mugs on the counter to get a drink and there was broken glass in the mug too. Thankfully I caught it before I drank it. Really makes me wonder how thoroughly they clean their rooms...
