Wildwood Inn
Reviews
Our stay was amazing. The Wildwood Inn was just tucked away enough to be private and quiet, but still just minutes from downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the amenities included in the room (fireplace, full kitchen, huge tub). The rates are very competitive, especially for rooms with a private hot tub. I will for sure be staying here again on my next trip! The staff was super friendly and helpful.
My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was a surprise from me to her, so my expectations were completely different than hers. A couple of thoughts: 1. The cabins aren't exactly cabins. When booking I assumed they were individual cabins. In reality, they are units in larger buildings. That said, if you are looking for a cabin, you might want to look elsewhere. As far as the quality of the rooms go, they were absolutely everything you'd expect in a room. No complaints here. 2. The private hot tubs aren't exactly private. Other rooms have views onto your back porch/hot tub if they want to see you. Had the place been completely booked, it might have made a difference. However, we were there during an off-peak time. We loved the privacy afforded us. 3. The front desk was fantastic. Don't be swayed by older reviews. Whatever might have been wrong in the past is fixed. 4. The only complaint my wife and I had was the stiffness of the bed. We had the same complaint during our honeymoon at a 5-star resort.
Misleading , first thing you need to ask is my room is on the property or not ! Really don't want to drive to get to the hot tub ? Called because could not get the TV to work and got no call back after leaving a message !!! Found the remote in the bed later . Lot's of great places to stay in Estes I'll try another next time. PS The pillows smell !
I had not been to Estes Park in almost 30 years and had not idea where to stay. I carefully reviewed all the information I could on line and after much debate decided that the Wildwood Inn, because of location, amenities we like to have, and economy was what we needed. The Wildwood Inn was far and above our expectations. It was beautiful, peaceful, well appointed with lots of wonderful space, and very economical. Also, we loved the location, out of town and close to the park. The owners were friendly and wonderful. It was so lovely and relaxing that we stayed an extra day. We highly recommend it and will probably return some day.
While everything in Estes Park is expensive in summer, this property was in line with their rates. The property is a little informal at their office and the property has a lodge type layout. The Wifi was apparently overloaded and not very useful. The room did have a small and effective window unit air conditioner. The room had a memory foam type mattress which is nice. The room was clean and well maintained. It is located very close to the Fall River entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. I would probably stay here again if I need a room in Estes Park.
