My wife recently had a massage here and all I have heard about is how terrible it was! Apparently the person giving the massage had such poor technique that my wife questioned whether or not he actually had any training, or was just doing this job because he enjoys touching people.

Wow! Awesome massage! I have had probably 15-20 massages with a variety of therapists usually while traveling. I had the best massage ever by Chris here. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The environment was soothing. I have had lower back pain the last week from doing a hike while not in shape. Chris helped with the pain and gave a very relaxing massage. Not the place you want to go if you are looking for regular treatments. Seems most people going here are those who pass through once a year. Obvious reasons why. The girls at the counter are not friendly at all. The location stinks. The therapists do not seem to know exactly what they're doing. Once, there was cat poop in the entrance way and another time there was a cockroach on the floor! My god! No wonder all their clients are passers-through. After giving them a shot several times, I would never go back even if I had a free coupon! I think it is obvious the other two reviews on here were written by their own staff.

My wife and I spent a few hours on a Saturday at The Back Porch, while taking a mini vacation in Albuquerque. We had reserved the couples "Moonlight Rose Garden" package, which included a vanilla sugar scrub, hot oil wrapture and sweedish massage. The atmosphere of the spa was very relaxing, and the services were wonderful. Both therapists that worked with us were very good, and actually listened to what we wanted. It is not a "vegas style" spa, with his and hers locker room areas, hot tubs and saunas etc., however, the experience was wonderful, and I recommend this spa to others.

Good employees, poor management. I burned my feet during a foot treatment recently, the wax was way too hot! I also overheard the manager mistreating a massage therapist - a therapist that was totally awesome. I was shocked and amazed that a manager (or owner) could treat an employee with such disrespect. I sure hope that that same therapist is working somewhere else, I look forward to giving her my business again. I will certainly never return to this spa.
