Great people, clean environment and great services! My favorite salon
Today I got the worst manicure& pedicure of my life!!!! I walked in with no app, they said they have time, and there was only one other person there. Though, as soon as I got in a chair for my pedicure few more people walked in, they did not turn anyone away, they also told them they had time. The girl who was doing my nails, started doing her job very fast. She barely scrubbed my feet, she didn't cut cuticles, she just polished them and put a nail polish on. I did not say anything because my pedicure was not all that bad. When she got to my manicure I was not sure if I am getting a manicure or a color change. She did not cut any cuticle, she filed them so bad that I am scratching myself, and the nail polish is all bubbled up. To add to that she covered my nails with some blue top coat. So my pedi is dark brown(Lincoln Park in the Dark) and my mani is BLUE!!!!! It was dark inside and it looked bad, but when I walked outside and looked at my hands, i wanted to cry!!!!! I went back to talk to the manager/owner, I apologized for bothering her, and explained what happened. Her reply: "What do you want me to do about it?" Really??? Not only that they do a BAD JOB, their COSTUMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!!! she told me they can fix it, but i had to go to work, so i told her to give me my money back, she said that they do not give money back, so i asked her to give me a gift card/store credit/ anything, she said she can not do that either!!!! NEVER GOING BACK THERE!!!!!!!!!!!
Where do I even begin? My whole experience was very dissappointing. The owner Jennifer was so beyond disrespectful to her employees and husband in front of me while I was getting my nail service. I could not believe some of the comments she was making. It is very upsetting to see such a poorly behaved bussiness owner. She also did a horrible job on my nails resulting in a chunk taken out of the side of my finger. I tried to pamper myself here and it turned out being an awful start to my vacation. I highy suggest never coming here
Market Common Nail Spa has new owners and they are EXTREMELY nice. My first visit was a great experience. I had a manicure and pedicure done. Hannah did a great job on both and I will definitely be going back.
In May, three of my girlfriends and I decided to take a trip to Myrtle Beach. We have all been friends since college and now we all have families, but once a year we try to take 3-4 day short vacations to help relive our youth and to escape the stress of everyday life. Well it never fails that I am the one that something always happens to, like when we took a cruise to the Bahamas and only I got food poisoning. I figured Myrtle Beach it’s a short travel with only one stop in between departure and destination. We make our connection with no problems and actually arrive in Myrtle Beach a few minutes early. We go to the baggage claim and everyone gets their bags, well everyone but me! So I check with the airline and they tell me my bags are on their way to Albuquerque, NM. I asked the customer service rep how can someone confuse Albuquerque, NM with Myrtle Beach, SC? They apologized and offered some crappy bags fly free vouchers and said they would call me as soon as my bags arrived. After dealing with the Airline I just wanted to go to the room and lay down, but my friends convinced me other wise. They suggested we should go and have a Pedicure and manicure and just relax. So we looked online and did a Google search and Market Common Nail came up first. They had a lot of reviews, almost all were positive except for one. So we checked out their website and it looked amazing and very clean. I called to make an appointment and the person I talked to spoke great English and was very polite and courteous. When we arrived at the location they greeted us with smiles as soon as we walked in the door and put us all together so we could have our services done at the same time. The décor of the salon was very cute but also upscale, and outside they had beautiful flowers everywhere you looked out the large windows that surround the Salon. The girl who did my pedicure was very sweet and fit the description of Southern bell in every sense of the word. When we were seated in the pedicure chairs they offered us a variety of beverages to choose from including Vodka/Cran and Margherita’s. I had the Vodka/Cran and it was amazing, I do not know what they put in it but it was unlike anything I have ever had before. While they did our services they remained engaged in conversations with us. I told them about my ordeal at the airport and they seemed to actually care that my day had been ruined. By the time our services were complete I did not even care about my luggage. I told my girls I was just going to hit some local shops get a bathing suit and an outfit for the night and worry about my bags in the morning. When the employees heard my plans they were more than happy to point me in the right direction. The nail salon is located in an outdoor mall. It is a planned live/work community called Market Commons. It has many of my favorite stores. Once I had bought enough items to get me through the night we were getting hungry and decided to stay there and eat. They have 8 resturants to choose from. We wanted to sit outside so we ate at Tommy Bahamas on the patio. The food was amazing as were the cocktails. All in all I have Market Common Nail Spa to think for rescuing my weekend. When things don’t go as planned I can be a bit of a pain but going here was probably the highlight of our trip and an experience I will never forget, especially when we plan our next trip! I normally do not write reviews but after my experience here I felt they deserved it. I do not know what the people from the other reviews are complaining about. This place is great and so are the people who work here. If you are reading this and are trying to decide on a place to get nail services stop reading this and call them as quickly as possible to set up your appointment, and SAVE YOUR WEEKEND!
