Serenity Spa & Nails
Reviews
this is my first review on Google, so that should tell you how strongly I feel about writing this. My friend and I had appts for a pedicure, simple enough, once we checked in we were told there was a free 10min complimentary massage with the pedicure. Sounded great. We picked our colors and sat and chatted for a few mins in the chairs while we waited for our nail technicians. They never spoke to us other than saying hi, it started off well until I realized that my cuticles were never trimmed, my toenails were barely cut and she never did any maintenance on my heal or bottom of my foot, the majority of the time was spent on massaging my foot, which although was great, was not what I came in for. My toes are VERY botched, my skin is painted as well as my nails are filed crooked and the paint job is aweful, I asked for some minor touch ups which she did one toe and not the others. And the 10 mins massage never happened. I walked out feeling like I wasted my money. Please read the reviews for this place, it is not worth it. I will gladly pay an extra $10 and go back to Changes from here on.
I went in for a manicure today and I was very disappointed with the end product. I could have done a better job painting my own nails. I don't recommend this salon for nail services.
Soooo I don't use the mani-pedi services but I have my hair done here by Ashley and she does a great job. They always make me feel special. The shop banter always makes me giggle. I would highly recommend them for a cut & color. So much fun and I look fab!
I read the comment below and i strongly dissagree with the given comment. I recently was given a gift certificate to Serenity Spa and Nails. And I called to make a last minute appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and said that he would squeeze me in as best as he can. Come on lady, just because an a** hole employee wouldnt respond to a phone call, doesnt mean that the whole business is a wash. I came to Serenity Spa and I got a wonderful manicure and pedicure. The service was wonderful. It was so great that I actually came back two weeks later for a facial and message. I am now a hooked and loyal customer. So for all you people who listened to the lady belows unfortunate experience, I feel that you should reconsider. My face feels wonderful, and so did all of the other services that I got at Serenity Spa and Nails.
I get how truly silly it is to whine over something like this...so, as angry as I am...I'm okay with the fact that I didn't actually get my facial. So, my one day off and all I wanted was a facial. Relaxing, cleansing facial. The website says, "walk-in welcomes" I wasn't expecting anything but I walked in at 10AM(opening time) and the guy at the front desk said, that 3-7PM they had openings BUT he'd called his "facialist" in the meantime, to see if they could come in sooner. I had all day off, so 3PM was fine by me. He took my information along with my phone number--which I had to repeat like 5 times, and said he'd call if she was available sooner. I made the appointment for 3PM. I digress. So I showed up at 3PM and surprise, surprise...none of the "facialist" had called him back or shown up for "work". "I made an appointment though...", I said. One was in a "car wreck" which we all know is a load of BS. The other wasn't returning his phone calls. "So why didn't you just call me to tell me that she wasn't going to show and you'd need to cancel." Serenity Spa and Nails: Well, we thought she'd call back. "So I drove all the way from VB to have you tell me that you can't keep the appointment you made for me?" We can reschedule you... "Nope, I had today buddy. And that's besides the point. If appointments aren't held then what's the point of coming here at all." We can offer you 10.00 dollars off... "No. Sorry, 10.00 dollars doesn't begin to cover my gas and the complete waste of time this whole thing was. If you were unable to accommodate the facial today, then you needed to say so upfront. Not now. But if this is how your conduct business, I could only imagine of what quality the facial would be." I'm sticking with Changes Salon and Spa, however, over priced they may be.
