Massage Envy Spa Savannah
Reviews
I joined maybe 6 months ago and so far I have had really wonderful massages. It's a big plus that they have Sunday and evening hours since I work, and I haven't yet had trouble getting a massage scheduled (often with very little notice and sometimes even the same day). The place isn't luxurious, but it's clean and quiet with comfortable rooms. The front desk staff have been uniformly friendly, and the therapists pleasant and responsive. I'm glad I got the membership!
We joined Massage Envy in Savannah about a year ago and it's one of the best investments we've ever made. The membership is quite affordable and includes a 1 hour massage each month. Additional massages can be enjoyed at a very low cost which we often take advantage of. Everyone is extremely nice and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. Be sure to ask for Kathleen and Tim. They're excellent! Just don't ask for them during our Saturday 90 minute couples session :)
I had a very terrible experience booking my massage. My husband and I were doing a couples massage for our anniversary and when I booked the massage everything seemed to be okay but the day we went in for the massage we were told the trainee had booked us for 2 Saturdays away instead of the Saturday we were there. We were given extra perks at no additional cost for the confusion, which was okay. We were able to book the massages for the next day. Because I had to get a prenatal massage there had to be specific masseuses that did them. When we were on the way to Massage Envy that Sunday I called once again to verify everything was set and was told that my appointment had to be changed to a hour later but my husband could still get his massage at the original time. They asked me was that okay but by that time I was VERY UPSET and told her that was not okay and I would call her back after discussing this with my husband because the purpose was for us to have a couples massage. When I called back before I got ready to cancel the appointment I was told they would be able to do them both at the original time and the girl didn't know they could skip the breaks in between the massages. Needless to say I wasn't pleased with all the changes and miscommunication that was going on. When we actually got the massages they were pretty good but it was too much of a hassle. This was not my first massage by far but it was my first prenatal massage. I just wanted to try a different company but I don't think I'll be using this one again (at least not this location).
I have visited various Massage Envy locations especially in Texas where our daughter lives and in Washington DC area where we used to live until we moved to Savannah eight months ago. Although I was impressed by the attentiveness and courtesy of the staff in most locations, it pales in comparison to the Savannah experience. Also, I had good massages with ME masseuses but then I had the Arkeem experience in Savannah. I don't have enough words to express how terrific and professional this young man is. Now I always try to book 90 minutes sessions and look forward Arkeem to work his magic on me. It is always heaven. -----My only complaint is the very steep suggested gratuity.
Massage therapists have no experience.....Massage therapists completely don't know what is he doing....never come back again
