Modern Salon Day Spa

Terrible job.. Worst highlight treatment I've ever had. If I could post a picture I would. I am going back and will let you know if they do right by me. UPDATE: No such luck, I still have chunky red (auburn almost candy apple red) highlights over dark brown hair. All they offered to do was an ash toner. Don't trust the positive reviews. Long waits, rude owner (skinny middle aged lady) and staff that seem to think it's cool to pass you around like you're in an assembly line. A total waste of money as far at the dye job. The cut was good. I wish i could post a picture so people could see I am not exaggerating about the dye and highlight job. I'll have to keep my hair in clip for the next month or so until I can get a decent color treatment. I think Walmart would have done a better job. Update: Fixed my hair (no more clip). I am still mad at the time and expense it took but is was fixable. Had to strip out the color and then apply new base color (did that myself with the help of my sister for the color and Sally's beautician for the guidance on what I needed to do) and I got the subtle highlights I wanted all along somewhere else. They thought I did good job with the base color. :-) Thank you Sally's and my sister!!!
I have been there once. I had to wait a while, but quite enjoyed myself. All the hairstylists work together in harmony. There is a lot of activity going on, but it never got overly loud like at other salons I've been to. When the owner showed up (which is who I scheduled with), there were 3 other customers ahead of me. It took maybe 20 minutes before he was working on cutting my hair! I couldn't believe it. Even though you might have multiple stylists working on coloring your hair, there is only the person you wanted to cut your hair. I will be returning tonight and can't wait to see what they do to my hair this time. Oh! And they did my son and daughter's hair and they have never had a hair cut done so well before!
I showed the stylist (Tracy) a photo of Gisele, asking to dye my blonde highlights to match my roots and add a few low-contrast peek-a-boo caramel highlights. I got espresso brown hair (which they tried to insist was my natural color even though I held a lock over an eyebrow and it was at least four shades darker) with horrible, skunky-looking bleached highlights. I will now have to spend about $500 over the next 6 months on correct color treatments to get my hair back to a decent shade. And maybe the kicker to it all? When I was talking with the stylist and the owner (Manager? She was never formally introduced.), I said I'd pay for the cut but not the color and the owner said no, I had to pay for the color, too. Oh, thank you so much. I really appreciate the opportunity to waste money on the worst dye job of my life. **Update -- As I've been posting this review on all the sites I could find, I have read that this is not uncommon. Lots of other reviews discuss (a) how bad their dye job was, (b) how long their wait was, (c) how there are no refunds offered** Save yourself the money and aggravation and go somewhere that employs technically competent stylists and won't charge you for their mistakes.
Worst place ever!!!! Do not throw your money away over here!!!!!! Avoid. Worst customer service! They do not care about their customer's. Always speaking vietnamese and laughing and don't even talk to you!!!! If you go here you will be throwing your money away.
