I had a very positive experience when going for my first-ever pedicure. Helen, who owns the business, was friendly and charming; when I explained I was new to pedis, she graciously explained the steps as she performed them. The pedicure itself was very nicely done. I have to smile every time I look at my toes. It's been a week and there is no chipping. I had the $40 procedure, which included a paraffin treatment. VERY hot! But worth it. And she brought over the wax in individual baggies that she placed on my feet; much more hygienic than sticking my feet in a shared tub of old wax. There were a large number of polish colors to choose from, and several brands, including OPI, Essie, and China Glaze, as well as gel polish options. I would certainly get another pedicure here from Helen.
I've been going to T Nails since they opened last year and used to really enjoy getting my pedicures there. They last 4 visits I have had I have been becoming increasingly more disappointed. I've left and had to touch up a toe here to there or had to repeatedly ask for the water to be warmed because it's ice cold but today was the last straw. My water was freezing, I ended up with nail polish all over the skin around my nails, the women was talking on her phone while doing my nails, and the bottom of my feet feel worse then when I went in. I told the person that was doing the pedicure that the toes looked bad but she just basically ignored me like I have been in the past. I won't be returning.
Woman was very nice, but unfortunately she did a shoddy job with my acrylics. They came out unevenly filed and had plastic hanging off of them. During the process of getting my nails done she stepped on my toe that she had just french manicured and when I told her that I thought she may have smudged it, she replied that she 'didn't think she did step on my foot and that she usually feels it.' When she looked, she saw that it was in fact smudged and then slopped some more white paint on it which now looks all bumpy. I am mad. Furthermore, I was told to sit with my nails under the dryer and that I could leave when I thought they felt dry but was told after a few minutes that my nails were dry and that I could leave. I told the girl that they still felt sticky and was told that they 'would be ok.' So, I was shooed off. Unbelievable...
