Back in 2000 or sometime thereabouts, a freind took me to her salon, then called Awesome Ten (as in 10 toes) and I had nver before received any kind of nail service whatsoever. She really was enthusistic about the staff, the place, and gosh, the prce for a manicure/pedicure combo! Honestly, I don;t think that price has changed since then. I read these reviews, went back, and the price was $35. I had a woman named YEN handle my mani/pedi combo. The pace looked great, having gone through a renovation, and there were fresh orchids at the sink. They added many more chairs than I recall, but the overall impression was one of cleanliness and good dependable, high quality nailcare. They last! And gosh, the price is GREAT! If all truth be told, I left Boston in 2001, moved to Franklin, and I still make the trip on special occasion to seek out Awesome Tan & nail Salon. So glad I did, and the other people must be very used to extremely ritsy ploaces, because I was surprised to see that not only was the place clean and redesigned, but the staff was very attentive. And no one sold me on an eyebrow wax. So, therefore, I rate it a 5. I need not go anywhere else. $35 for a French mani and regular pedi is all I need to pay. The last pedi I had elsewhere cost me $50 for just the pedi! Crazy I say. If you don't want to pay a lot and want a very fine final outcome, go to Awesome Tan & nail on Beacon in Brookline.
