I have been going here for about a year and my experience is very mixed. I always get my hair cut by a junior stylist, which is probably a factor, but their cuts are so much more expensive then I'm used to at other Aveda salons. My first haircut was not very good. I returned b/c of my previous good experiences with Aveda salons and got a stylist I loved. I went back a few times with her and was always happy. The most recent time I went to make an appointment and found out my stylist was no longer there. I got a new stylist and was once again not excited about my haircut. She made a big deal about not cutting my hair exactly shoulder length b/c then it would flip out rather than in and when all was said and done, that is exactly how long she cut it. I also asked for the cut I already had and got something different. I find them to be very hit or miss and always wonder if it is really worth the pricetag.
The interior is amazing and smells great. The services - not good. I went there for a facial and an eyebrow wax left with part of my eyebrows burned off - test the wax!
I had my hair cut by a junior stylist, and it was great. I got a nice shoulder and neck massage to start it off, and a mini facial to end! For Boston, the $45 cut was extremely reasonable, particularly considering the level of service. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend trying Pyara!
I've been going to Aveda Salons for many years. Each time a haircut from a Master Stylist was $35. This salon charges $85 for a men's cut. That is ridiculous on it's own. Aside from that, the haircut was the worst haircut I have ever had. I went in the next day to have a different stylist fix it, and it is still pretty bad. On the upside - everyone in the store is incredibly nice and helpful. And, Aveda products are priced normally. I will continue to go back for products, but never again for a haircut.
Was totally taken advantage of for my wedding. I never want to go back but have already paid. Worst salon experience of my life.
